How It Started…
First raised garden beds and fruit trees in 2020 with Marvin the Artist, Mr. Craig and many other neighbors joining in.
How It’s Going!
2026 - Weekly garden gatherings, 6 raised beds with 4 new BIG ones on the way, 8 fruit trees, 3 grape vines, 30 raspberry plants, lots of vegetables, 8 herb boxes, pollinator garden, beautiful labels made by young students in the area, and more.
April 24, 2026 - First Annual Planting and Pizza Party!
Over 35 neighbors of all ages, faiths and races came together to build 4 new raised garden beds, spread organic compost and organic top soil to all the plantings, spread wood chips on the playground, plant greens, okra, peppers, watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, flowers, and celebrate with pizza and fellowship!
